GreatTree is the kingdom where this story takes place. Upon arriving here, it is the deal that Terry strikes up
with the King of GreatTree that leads to this quest. It is the scene for many key interactions in
the story, the locations of the "dungeon" portals (the Gates). Below, all the different areas in the kingdom are
described in detail. Refer to the Map of GreatTree for
full color maps of the entire kingdom.
The Throne Room is where you first meet the king, and where you are informed of the changes that occur
to the landscape when certain events are completed. Stairs from here lead to the Monster Farm/Daycare, and to
the Basement.
The Monster Farm is where you store monsters that are not in your party, as well as eggs (unhatched monsters from breeding).
You can keep up to 19 active, and 19 more asleep. Those that are active will gain a fraction of the experience you receive
from battle (but will not gain skills they would normally receive from level ups).
The Arena is where you will fight in the tournament. As your monsters become more powerful, you will be able
to tackle more advanced classes. This will eventually culminate in the Starry Night Tournament.
For more information, look at the Arena Tips Section.
The Library is where you can get a lot of the basic information, as well as some good hints.
The Bazaar is the main shopping district in the game. As you progress farther, more shops open up that will
contain powerful items. It is a good idea to visit here often to unload surplus items and stock up on meat and healing items.
The Breeding Shrine will open later in the game. This is where you will be able to breed monsters together. More about this
later. Around the same time, the Egg Woman's room will open up. Here you will be able to see the gender of you egg, and
bless it to change the gender. For more information on breeding, go to the main
Breeding Section.
